It’s always my favourite cake . It’s healthy and can be eaten plain without cream.Moist , yummy and with just the exact sweetness required.
This recipe is always a regular cake in my kitchen for among the other tea cakes. Always turns the ripped not so attractive bananas into delicious healthy cakes. One of my families favourite rich cake.
This cake can be prepared with your choice of toppings like choco chips, dry fruits, dried fruits , only raisins , dried pumpkin seeds etc.
Here’s my recipe of Eggless whole wheat flour banana cake
Whole wheat atta- 1.5 cups
Ripe banana-2 large mashed
Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Baking powder- 1 tsp
Salt - 1/8 tsp
Brown sugar/ jaggery powder- 1/2 cup
Vanilla essence- 1 tsp
Sunflower oil - 2/3 cup
Choco chips / dry fruits- 1/4 cup
Mash banana and mix with sugar. Add oil and mix completely.
Sieve the Whole wheat flour with baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Mix dry ingredients to wet completely with cut and fold method. Add vanilla essence. Add choco chips and dry fruits Mix .
Pre heat oven for 10 mins at 180
Bake till 40-45 mins until completely done.
Cool completely and slice.
